Well, some may have noticed, but i have scrapped the 1.0.2000 framework, and started fresh on 1.0.3000. The development throughout the movement has gone well, and we’re certain that this framework version will be the most beastly!
There’s been a couple of major improvements in the ENVY build, but most noticeably, the networking principle. We’ve move forward from the older tcp connection management, and anything tcp is now asynchronous. in build 2000, the tcp connections were accepted asynchronously but data send and received were synchronous which threw things off and made a huge disruption to me and the framework. Furthermore, the game connections are management the way i want it to be, and customization is very advanced – even the smallest things can be configured. Envy also is more fluent, instead of stuffing all the code into one project, each division of the environment is now split into it’s own project, which allows me to manage the code easier, and it just looks a more professional. Oh, and the login server has amazingly transformed since build 2000, you should check that out aswell!

I am sorry to say, but the Jolt development may be a bit slow, because school is just around the corner and i have to get ready etc. Maybe after a week at school, things may have calmed down and i can resume my daily development. Unless then, visit back daily for updates!

Hello everyone, Daniel here. Just posting an update letting everyone know that I’m picking up development on Jolt, spinning off from AJ’s 508, and developing for a more old school crowd. I’ll soon be releasing an alpha, so be sure to keep an eye out! Also, be sure to check ho is posting the revision under the source; As we both are updating on here, it would be wise to make sure you’re downloading the proper release. All 508 work is posted by TheAJ, and all 317 work is done by GhostSnyper (me), unless otherwise specified (we sometimes fix each others work).

Well I’ve been working on the login server a bit more. Most of it was revising and debugging to make sure i didn’t screw anything up. So far, we’re able to login. We can see the maps, and we can see interfaces. There are some small problems, so I will have to check those out when i wake up tomorrow.

In other news, Some of your may have noticed i started working on login a while back. Well, we got half of it done. The remaining relies on many things, such as loading regions, loading the interfaces etc. Which requires various other thing to be done first etc. So it may take a while. Regardless of this, the progress is going rapidly, and we are constantly checking for any security holes, exploits, etc as we develop.

Well, this is about a couple days old, but i think this is a vital feature which is important for all servers. Which is performance. Jolt is now capable of processing in multiple cores and able to work rather flawlessly on x64 and x86 bit processors. To my knowledge, i don’t know of any RSPS that have multiple core processing, so this is something special indeed.

After getting setting up my website (again), I thought i’d organize myself by making a blog for each of my projects instead of posting it where ever the development thread is!
